A steel outdoor table combines the colour choice of powder-coated steel with a weather-resistant top in ceramic or granite. For outdoor use, the steel frame receives an additional primer powder coating that protects against moisture and corrosion.

Steel for outdoor: how does it work?

In the configurator, select application "outdoor". The steel frame then automatically receives an extra primer beneath the regular powder coating.

Primer powder coating: extra protection for outdoor use

Steel for indoor use receives a single layer of powder coating. For outdoor use, a primer is added: a base coat applied directly on the steel before the colour layer goes on top. The primer fills microscopic pores in the steel surface and forms an extra barrier against moisture.

With this treatment, the steel frame is suitable for year-round outdoor use. Both steel with outdoor primer and stainless steel are suitable for staying outside all year. The choice is aesthetic.

19 models in 10 RAL colours

The steel base collection for outdoor tables is identical to that for dining tables: 19 models. The 10 RAL colours include popular outdoor choices such as RAL 9005 Black, RAL 7016 Anthracite, RAL 9010 Pure White and Anodic Bronze.

In the 3D configurator you see each colour directly on the chosen model. View all models on the steel table bases page.

Steel outdoor table with ceramic top

Ceramic on steel is the most chosen combination. Ceramic is 12 mm thick, frost-proof (EN ISO 10545-12), UV-resistant and fully maintenance-free. With 28 colours and 11 frame colours, hundreds of combinations are possible. Maximum top size: 3200x1600 mm.

Ceramic on steel: the most popular outdoor table

Ceramic is maintenance-free and the steel frame offers colour choice. With the outdoor primer you are protected against corrosion.

Steel outdoor table with granite top

Granite on steel creates a robust outdoor piece. Granite is 30 mm thick, frost-proof and UV-resistant. Four varieties available. Maximum top size: 2400x1000 mm. Granite requires periodic sealing.

Steel or stainless steel for your outdoor table?

Choose steel if colour choice is important. With 10 RAL colours you match the frame to any patio setting. Steel with outdoor primer is suitable for year-round outdoor use.

Choose stainless steel if you want a silver appearance. Stainless steel 304 does not corrode and requires no maintenance.

Sizes and shapes

Allow at least 60 cm per person along the long side. Steel bases are available in all top shapes: rectangle, oval, round, Danish oval, Racetrack and rectangle with radius.

Made in our own workshop

All steel bases are welded and finished in the workshop in Maasbree, Netherlands. With application "outdoor", the frame automatically receives the primer treatment.

Combining with garden chairs

A steel outdoor table pairs well with aluminium garden chairs. Aluminium is lightweight and rust-free. View the garden chairs collection.

Frequently asked questions

What is the additional primer under the powder coating?
When the 'outdoor' option is selected, the steel frame receives an extra primer underneath the regular powder coating. This base layer fills microscopic pores in the steel and creates an additional barrier against moisture and corrosion.
Is a steel garden table suitable for year-round outdoor use?
With the outdoor primer applied, the frame is suitable for outdoor use throughout the year. For permanent unprotected outdoor use all year round, a stainless steel base is the right choice.
Which tabletop materials work with a steel garden table?
Ceramic (12 mm, 28 colours, maintenance-free) and granite (30 mm, 4 types, periodic sealing). Wood is not suitable for outdoor use. Ceramic on steel is the most popular combination.
How many RAL colours are available for outdoor use?
The same 10 RAL colours that are available for indoor use: from RAL 9005 Black to RAL 9010 Pure White, plus Anodic Bronze and Anodic Brown. The outdoor primer sits beneath the colour layer and is not visible.
What is the difference compared with a steel dining table?
The frame itself is identical, but when the 'outdoor' option is selected it receives an extra primer treatment. The same 19 models and 10 colours are available. In the configurator you switch between 'indoor' and 'outdoor'.
How do I maintain a steel garden table?
Check the coating once a year for damage. For deeper damage, get in touch for advice. Wipe a ceramic top with a damp cloth. Re-seal a granite top once a year.
