Outdoor table tops
Which table top can stand outdoors?
Ceramic and granite. Oak and walnut are not suitable for outdoor use.
- Ceramic is frost resistant (EN ISO 10545-12), absorbs less than 0.1 % water and does not fade in sunlight. It needs no impregnation. There are 29 colours, 12 mm thick (Fossil 20 mm).
- Granite is volcanic natural stone with its own pattern in every top, 30 mm thick and up to 2400 × 1000 mm. Impregnate it on arrival and again every two to three years.
For the least maintenance, choose ceramic. For real natural stone, choose granite.
The frame has to go outdoors too
Stainless steel 304 resists corrosion by nature. A steel frame gets an extra primer coat under the powder coating for outdoor use. Primed steel and stainless steel are equally suitable outdoors; the choice is aesthetic. Frames made to measure are under table legs.
A new top on your existing garden table
A ceramic or granite top is heavier than wood. Whether it fits your current frame depends on the support surface, the stability and the fixing. Send photos of the top of the frame, the fixing points and the dimensions before you order.
Shape and size
You set the size to the millimetre and see the price at once in the configurator. Allow 700 to 750 mm of table edge per person. For six people, three on each long side, that is a top of 2100 to 2250 mm long. Which shapes are possible differs per material.
Rather a complete garden table?
Top and frame together are under the ceramic garden tables and the granite garden tables. Unsure about the colour? Order a ceramic sample from the colour samples and look at it outdoors in daylight.
The top is made in the workshop in Maasbree. Tables, table tops and frames: delivery within 4 weeks, or at a lower rate within 8 weeks. Collection in Maasbree is also possible.
