Window sills

Why a ceramic window sill?

  • Heat resistant: warmth from a radiator or the sun does not affect it.
  • Scratch resistant: pots and keys leave no marks.
  • Stain resistant: water from a plant pot does not soak in.
  • UV resistant: the colour does not change in sunlight, even facing south.

The drawback: ceramic is heavy and sensitive to a hard knock on the edge, so place the sill with care.

How it fits your window frame

For each end you choose the cut: straight, sloping, a cut corner at the front or rear, or a notch on the wall side. If the wall is not square, choose a sloping rear edge with its own depth on the left and right. For each edge you choose the finish: polished with a 2 mm bevel where the edge shows, a sawn edge where it disappears against the wall or under the frame.

Not sure about the colour? Order ceramic samples first; they are refunded on return.
