Considering a table base in brushed stainless steel? A stainless steel table base combines a timeless silver appearance with corrosion resistance. All 9 models are welded to measure in our workshop in Maasbree, Netherlands, and pair with table tops in ceramic, oak, walnut or granite.

Stainless steel or steel? Stainless steel: 9 models, brushed silver, inherently corrosion-resistant. Steel: 19 models, 10 RAL colours. Both suitable for outdoor use.

Brushed 304-grade stainless steel: material and properties

All bases are made from 304-grade stainless steel, an alloy with at least 18% chromium and 8% nickel. This composition creates a self-healing oxide layer that protects against corrosion. The brushed finish is applied by sanding the surface in one direction, producing a subtle line pattern that is less prone to showing fingerprints than a polished surface.

304-grade stainless steel is the most widely used stainless steel alloy in the world, applied in kitchens, medical equipment and architecture. For table bases it offers a combination of strength, corrosion resistance and an attractive appearance.

Frequently asked questions

What is 304-grade stainless steel and why is it used for table bases?
304-grade stainless steel is an alloy with at least 18% chromium and 8% nickel. The material is inherently corrosion-resistant, does not discolour and does not rust. The brushed finish gives the base a silver, matte sheen that is maintained for years without additional treatment.
Can a stainless steel table base stay outside year-round?
Yes, 304-grade stainless steel is suitable for year-round outdoor use by default. The material does not need any additional coating or primer to withstand moisture, rain, sun and frost. Steel with an outdoor primer is equally suitable. The choice between steel and stainless steel is aesthetic, not functional.
How many stainless steel table base models are available?
The range includes 9 models: Amsterdam, Brussels, Dublin, Helsinki, Riga 80x40, Riga 80x40 Round, Riga 80x80, Riga 80x80 Round and Sydney. Each model is available in multiple sizes set via the 3D configurator.
