Colour samples
Which sample should you order?
- Ceramic: ceramic comes in 29 colours, from marble and travertine looks to grey stone shades. The sample shows the pattern and surface that a photo flattens.
- Oak: the top is stained in the colour you choose, from light shades such as Natural and Corn Silk to Black. Stain looks different on solid wood than on a screen.
- Walnut: there is no choice of stain; you see the wood’s own deep chocolate brown.
There is no granite sample in the shop. Every granite top has its own pattern; more under granite table tops.
How to judge a sample
- Put the sample where the table will stand.
- Look at it by the window during the day and under your dining lamp in the evening: warm and cool light change the colour.
- Place it next to your floor, your wall and the chairs you are keeping.
- Compare two or three colours side by side, not one colour on its own.
Ceramic, oak or walnut: which material?
Eating at the table every day with children, or want a top for outdoors? Choose ceramic: resistant to heat, scratches and stains, but heavy and sensitive to a hard knock on the edge. Want warmth and grain indoors? Choose oak to decide the colour yourself, or walnut for the colour of the wood itself. Oak and walnut are not suitable for outdoor use.
Compare all materials under table tops.
From sample to table
Once you have chosen your colour, design your table in the 3D configurator. Choose the material, the colour of your sample, the size and a base; the price shows straight away.
