Aluminium Garden Chairs

Aluminium is the lightest frame material for garden chairs. You can lift an aluminium chair with one hand and move it effortlessly from patio to dining table. The material does not corrode, does not discolour from UV and withstands all weather conditions. Maintenance is minimal: a damp cloth is sufficient.

Aluminium garden chairs with rope upholstery

The Liv rope and Rivera rope combine an aluminium frame with braided rope cord. Rope is a synthetic braid that gives a warmer, more organic appearance than bare aluminium. The material is weather-resistant, colourfast and dries quickly after rain.

The Liv rope has a lower profile and more compact seat. The Rivera rope offers a wider seat and taller backrest for extra comfort. Both models are suitable for extended outdoor seating and pair well with ceramic outdoor tables or natural stone outdoor tables.

The advantage of rope over bare aluminium: rope feels warmer to the touch, looks more organic and offers slightly more grip. The cord is UV-resistant and mould-resistant, retaining its colour and texture for years.

Foxx series: from dining chair to lounger

The Foxx is the most versatile model in the collection. The basic version is a compact stackable chair for daily use at the dining table. The Foxx high back offers more support and comfort for longer sitting. The adjustable version lets you set the backrest from an upright dining position to a relaxed lounge position.

The Foxx models are stackable and take up little storage space. The Foxx series is therefore suited for those seeking flexibility: daily use at the dining table and extra chairs for guests when the weather is good.

Stelvio and David: sleek aluminium dining chairs

The Stelvio and David are aluminium dining chairs with a contemporary design. Both models offer comfortable seating at the dining table without the bulk of a lounge chair. Stackable and light enough to quickly add when guests arrive.

The Gloria is the most generously proportioned model in this range, with wider armrests and more seat depth. A good choice if you value ample seating comfort at the outdoor table. The armrests provide sufficient support for comfortably sitting through longer meals.

Fico: aluminium with character

The Fico distinguishes itself through its design from the other aluminium chairs. The frame has its own lines that suit a more design-oriented garden setting. Like all aluminium models, the Fico is weather-resistant, lightweight and stackable.

Why aluminium for outdoor use?

Aluminium naturally forms an oxide layer that protects the material against corrosion. Unlike steel, aluminium does not need to be coated to stay outdoors. Aluminium is lightweight, easy to move, rust-free and maintenance-free.

All aluminium garden chairs are suitable for year-round outdoor use. The material itself needs no protection.

The powder coating applied to most models is UV-resistant. This layer does not discolour and provides extra protection against scratches during daily use.

Maintaining aluminium garden chairs

Aluminium itself requires no maintenance. Wiping with a damp cloth or rinsing with a garden hose is sufficient. For chairs with rope upholstery, clean the cord with lukewarm water and a mild soap. Rope dries quickly and is mould-resistant.

Textilene seats (where present) are water-permeable and dry within minutes after a rain shower. UV-resistant fabric retains its colour for years, even with intensive sun exposure. Do not use a pressure washer on rope or textilene; a garden hose with normal water pressure is sufficient.

Aluminium garden chairs for dining and lounging

The collection offers chairs for two situations: at the dining table and as a lounge chair. Dining chairs such as the Avento, Stelvio and David are more compact and sit upright. That is pleasant during meals but less comfortable for an afternoon of reading or relaxing.

The adjustable Foxx high back bridges this gap: at the dining table you set the back upright, after dinner you tilt the backrest backwards. The rope models Liv and Rivera naturally sit slightly deeper and lower, making them suitable for extended relaxation.

Aluminium garden chairs year-round outdoors

All aluminium garden chairs are suitable for permanent outdoor use, including during winter months. Aluminium is not affected by frost, rain or snow. The material does not shrink or expand with temperature changes.

The powder coating on most models is UV-resistant and does not fade. After a winter outdoors, an aluminium chair looks the same as on the day of purchase. All you need to do is rinse the chair with a garden hose to remove any accumulated dirt.

How many garden chairs do you need?

A practical rule of thumb: take as many chairs as the daily number of seats, plus two to four extra for guests. For a garden table for six, eight chairs are comfortable. Stackable models take up little storage space when not in use.
