Which table are you looking for?

Most visitors already know which type of table they need. The choices after that are material, size and base, and they differ per type.

Quick guide

Dining tables made to measure

A dining table comes down to four choices: shape, material, size and base. The shapes are rectangular, round, oval, Danish oval and semicircle ends. The standard table height is 760 mm.

For the size, allow 700 to 750 mm per person and at least 800 mm of free space around the table. If you want to choose table and chairs in one go, see the dining sets.

Which material for your table top?

Each material has a strong point and a limitation. The limitation is part of the choice, so here they are side by side.

  • Ceramic: resistant to heat, scratches and stains, UV-resistant and frost-resistant, so also for outdoors. It is heavy, though, and sensitive to a hard knock on the edge. Available in 29 colours. See ceramic dining tables.
  • Oak: 40 mm solid European oak, honey to golden brown with a pronounced open grain. Stained in the colour you choose and finished with two coats of clear matt lacquer. Not suitable for outdoors. See oak dining tables.
  • Walnut: 40 mm solid walnut, deep chocolate brown with purple undertones. It can turn slightly lighter in long periods of direct sunlight. Not suitable for outdoors. See walnut dining tables.
  • Granite: 30 mm volcanic natural stone in four varieties, polished or honed. It needs sealing on arrival and again every two to three years. A hot pan can cause a crack, so use a trivet. See granite dining tables.

Garden tables: ceramic outdoors

Outdoors, sun and frost matter most. Ceramic is UV-resistant, does not fade in sunlight and is frost-resistant. Oak and walnut are not suitable for outdoors.

A steel base can stand outside with an outdoor primer: the frame gets an extra primer coat under the powder coating. Steel with primer and stainless steel are equally suitable outdoors; the choice is about looks. All outdoor models are in garden tables.

Coffee tables in the same material

A coffee table is made in the same materials as your dining table, so colour and base in the living room match the dining room.

Base: steel or stainless steel

The base sets the look of the table. You choose between steel and stainless steel on appearance, not on strength.

  • Steel: welded in our workshop in Maasbree and powder-coated with a fine texture, 3 to 5 times thicker than wet paint. Available in 10 standard colours. Powder coating is a layer of lacquer that can be damaged by a heavy impact.
  • Stainless steel: grade 304 (18/8), naturally corrosion-resistant, brushed as standard. Fingerprints show but are easy to wipe off.

All models are in steel table bases and stainless steel table bases.

Frequently asked questions

Which tables are suitable for outdoors?
Tables with a ceramic top. Ceramic is UV-resistant, does not fade in sunlight and is frost-resistant. Combine it with stainless steel or with steel with an outdoor primer; both are equally suitable outdoors. Oak and walnut are not suitable for outdoors.
Where are the tables made?
In our own workshop in Maasbree, the Netherlands, made to measure to the millimetre. Steel bases are welded and powder-coated there too. The showroom and workshop are also open on Saturdays.
Which materials can I choose?
Ceramic, solid oak, solid walnut and granite. Ceramic handles heat, scratches and stains best, but it is heavy. Oak and walnut are 40 mm solid wood for indoors. Granite is 30 mm natural stone that needs sealing from time to time.
How large can a table be?
That depends on the material. An oak top goes up to 3000 × 1200 mm, a walnut top up to 2600 × 1200 mm and a granite top up to 2400 × 1000 mm. Within those limits you choose the size to the millimetre.
Can I see the material before ordering?
Yes. Material samples are ordered per piece and refunded when you return them. In the showroom in Maasbree you can see the materials side by side.
