The right chair for your table
You use a chair daily, often for hours at a time. That is why seating comfort is at least as important as appearance. At Tulmans Furniture, every chair is selected for ergonomics, material quality and finish. Whether you are looking for a dining chair for long dinners or a garden chair for the patio: in our collection you will find chairs that last for years.
The chair collection consists of two main groups: dining chairs for indoor use and garden chairs for outdoor use. Both groups have their own materials and constructions, matched to the usage environment.

Long meals and sociable evenings - dining chair in fabric or PU leather, optionally swivel.
Patio and garden, weather-resistant - aluminium or stainless steel garden chair with textilene or rope detail.

Dining chairs: fabric or PU leather
Dining chairs are available in two upholstery materials: fabric and PU leather. Both are durable and easy to maintain. Fabric chairs feel warmer and come in a wide colour palette. PU leather chairs have a sleek appearance and are easy to wipe with a damp cloth.
The collection includes various models, among them the Curve, Flow, Slide and Tulip. A number of models are available as Fix (fixed legs) and Swivel (rotating base with 360-degree swivel mechanism).
Garden chairs: weather-resistant and low-maintenance
Garden chairs from Tulmans Furniture are made from weather-resistant materials that can stand outdoors for years. Choose from aluminium, stainless steel or textilene. All frames are powder-coated or stainless steel, withstanding rain, sun and frost.
Garden chairs are available in various versions: stackable for easy storage, adjustable backrests or rope detail for a warm appearance. Combine with an outdoor table for a complete patio.
Fix or Swivel: which base?
Many dining chairs let you choose between a fixed base (Fix) and a rotating base (Swivel). The difference lies in ease of use at the table.

A swivel dining chair is particularly practical at a large dining table or in an open kitchen. You rotate from the chair towards the conversation without moving the chair.
How to choose the right dining chair

Step 2: Choose the upholstery. Fabric feels warmer and comes in dozens of colours. PU leather is sleek, stain-resistant and easy to clean.
Step 3: Fix or Swivel? A fixed base is the classic choice. A swivel base offers extra convenience, especially at large tables.
Step 4: Combine with your table. A seat height of approximately 45-47 cm matches the standard 75 cm table height.

Pairing chairs with a custom dining table
A complete dining area starts with the right combination of table and chairs. At Tulmans Furniture you can configure a custom dining table in the 3D configurator and choose matching chairs. For an oval table, chairs without armrests often work best, as you can slide them closer to the table.
Materials and construction
Every chair in the collection is built on a metal frame. On dining chairs the frame is typically black; on garden chairs anthracite. Dining chairs have a cold foam seat with high density, which retains its resilience. Garden chairs use aluminium or stainless steel, materials naturally resistant to moisture and corrosion.
How many chairs do you need?
As a rule of thumb, allow approximately 70-75 cm of width per chair, regardless of whether the chair has armrests. A 200 cm table fits 2 chairs per long side, plus optionally 1 or 2 at the heads.
- Table 160 cm: 4 chairs (2 per long side)
- Table 200 cm: 4-6 chairs (2 per long side + optional at heads)
- Table 240 cm: 6 chairs (3 per long side)
- Table 300 cm: 8 chairs (4 per long side)
- Round table 120 cm: 4 chairs
- Round table 150 cm: 6 chairs
Delivery
Chairs are delivered throughout the Netherlands, Belgium and North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany). You can also have chairs delivered together with your table. Collection at the workshop in Maasbree is also possible. View our delivery options for more information.
