Which garden table can stay outside year-round, without a cover, without worry? Ceramic outdoor tables are frost-proof (EN ISO 10545-12), fully UV-resistant and handle barbecue sauce, sunscreen and everything a summer on the patio brings. No discolouration, no stains, no hassle.

Quick guide: which material for your patio?

  • Covered patio, occasional rain: ceramic on powder-coated steel works well
  • Open patio, year-round outdoor: ceramic on stainless steel base for maximum weather resistance
  • Heavy weather, coastal area: ceramic on brushed stainless steel, the most corrosion-resistant combination

Ceramic outdoor table: year-round outside without a cover

Where teak turns grey and plastic yellows, a ceramic top looks exactly the same after years as it did on day one. With water absorption below 0.1%, no moisture penetrates the top, even after weeks of frost. Mohs hardness of 7-8 means you need not worry about scratches from dinnerware or cutlery.

Hot dish from the barbecue directly on the table? No problem. Ceramic is heat-resistant and does not discolour from UV radiation. Wine, olive oil or sunscreen leave no traces thanks to its chemical resistance to all common household cleaners, red wine, coffee, oil and acids. After dinner, just grab a damp cloth.

Ceramic or teak? An honest comparison

Teak has been a popular outdoor furniture material for years. The wood is naturally weather-resistant and develops a grey patina over time. But without regular oiling, teak turns grey within one season.

A ceramic outdoor table requires no maintenance. The surface absorbs nothing. Red wine, coffee or barbecue sauce wipe off, even when dried. A ceramic top does not deform, does not shrink and withstands temperature swings from frost to full sun.

Shapes for your patio

A rectangular ceramic outdoor table is the classic: lots of surface, efficient use of space. An oval or Danish oval offers the same seating capacity with flowing lines. A round ceramic outdoor table works well on a square patio. The Racetrack is elongated with two rounded short ends and straight long sides and stands freely in the room. Every shape is available in ceramic and cut to your size.

Base for outdoors: stainless steel or powder-coated steel

Powder-coated steel is available in 10 RAL colours and suitable for outdoor use under normal conditions. The coating protects against rust, but with permanent outdoor exposure in combination with sea air, wear may occur after years.

Brushed stainless steel is the best choice when your table stays outside unprotected year-round. Stainless steel is inherently corrosion-resistant and has no coating that can wear. Even in coastal areas a stainless steel base remains intact.

Configure your custom ceramic outdoor table

Every outdoor table is made to measure. Choose dimensions, shape, ceramic top and base in the online 3D configurator. The ceramic comes from Dekton, Neolith and Marazzi. All tops are 12 mm thick with a straight edge finish, cut to size in our workshop in Maasbree, Netherlands.

Caring for a ceramic outdoor table

Maintenance is minimal. A damp cloth after dinner is all that is needed. There is no oil, lacquer or protective layer required. Pollen, leaves or bird droppings simply wipe off. For the base: powder-coated steel is wiped occasionally, stainless steel can be treated with a stainless steel cleaner if desired.

Delivery

Delivery time is 1 to 4 weeks. Delivery is available throughout the Netherlands, Belgium and North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany). The table is delivered fully assembled.

Frequently asked questions

Can a ceramic outdoor table stay outside year-round?
Yes. Ceramic is frost-proof (tested per EN ISO 10545-12) and has water absorption below 0.1%. Frost, rain and snow cause no damage. You do not need a cover and do not need to bring it inside in winter.
Does a ceramic outdoor table discolour in the sun?
No. Ceramic is fully UV-resistant and retains its colour, even after years in direct sunlight. For comparison: teak turns grey within one season without oiling and plastic yellows after a few years.
How do I clean a ceramic outdoor table?
With a damp cloth after eating. For stubborn stains (dried barbecue sauce, bird droppings), a bit of all-purpose cleaner is sufficient. The surface has very low porosity: liquids do not penetrate the material. Sanding, oiling or sealing is not needed.
Which base is best for permanent outdoor use?
Both base types are suitable for year-round outdoor use. Stainless steel is inherently corrosion-resistant. Powder-coated steel with outdoor primer offers the same protection and is available in 10 RAL colours. The choice is aesthetic.
What is the difference between a ceramic outdoor table and a regular outdoor table?
A ceramic top is frost-proof, UV-resistant, stain-resistant and heat-resistant. It resists all common household cleaners, red wine, coffee, oil and acids; stains leave no marks. Wood turns grey or cracks, aluminium dulls and gets hot in the sun, plastic yellows. Ceramic only requires a damp cloth for maintenance.
Can I place a hot dish from the barbecue on a ceramic table?
Yes. Ceramic is heat-resistant. You can place a hot dish from the barbecue directly on the top without damage or discolouration. This applies to all brands: Dekton, Neolith and Marazzi.
How quickly is a custom ceramic outdoor table delivered?
Delivery time is 1 to 4 weeks. All ceramic tops are cut to size and assembled in our own workshop in Maasbree, Netherlands. Delivery is available throughout the Netherlands, Belgium and North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany). The table is delivered fully assembled.
What shapes are available for a ceramic outdoor table?
Rectangular, oval, Danish oval, round and Racetrack. Every shape is cut to size. Maximum slab size is 3200 x 1600 mm.
