Custom-made table: what does it cost and how does it work?
Dreaming of a table that fits your interior perfectly? Discover how the process of a custom table works, what it costs, how our 3D configurator helps and what the delivery times are.
A standard table rarely fits perfectly. Too short for 8 people, too wide for a narrow dining room, or just not the right colour. That is why we make every table to measure — and with our 3D configurator you can design it yourself.
Why a custom-made table?
Most tables in furniture shops come in standard sizes: 160 x 90, 180 x 90, 200 x 100. Fine if those dimensions happen to fit your space. But what if your dining room is just a little narrower? Or if you need a 270 cm table because you regularly dine with a large group? Or if you want a round table with a 150 cm diameter?
A custom-made table solves that. You decide:
- The dimensions: to the centimetre, fitting your space
- The shape: rectangular, round, oval, Danish oval or another shape
- The material: ceramic, solid oak, walnut or another material
- The colour: from sleek white to warm wood, from marble look to industrial concrete
- The base: steel, oak, stainless steel or a combination, in various styles
The result is a table that exists nowhere else. Made for you, suited to your home.
How it works
You start in the configurator: choose your shape, material and dimensions. Within 2 minutes you have a realistic 3D image of your table. With every choice you see the price immediately — no surprises afterwards, no quote to wait for. You can experiment with different options until you find the combination that fits your space and your budget.
Happy with the result? Then you can order directly or first make an appointment in our showroom in Maasbree to see and feel the materials in person.
After your order
Your table goes into production. Ceramic tops are cut to size and finished at the manufacturer in Europe. Wooden tops are made in our own workshop. The base is produced in parallel. Your table is delivered to your home by our own delivery team — we place it in the desired spot and take all packaging materials with us. Delivery is free within the Netherlands and Belgium.
What does a custom-made table cost?
The price depends on a number of factors:
Table top material
- Ceramic (Dekton/Marazzi): the premium segment. The best balance of quality, durability and maintenance.
- Solid oak: a classic choice in the mid-range segment. The price depends on the thickness and finish.
- Walnut: a more exclusive wood species, priced slightly higher than oak due to its beautiful dark colour and grain.
Dimensions
The larger the table, the higher the price — but the ratio is not linear. The additional cost per extra centimetre is relatively modest.
Shape
Rectangular tables are the most affordable option. Round and oval tables require more processing steps, which increases the price slightly. A Danish oval falls in between.
Base
Standard steel bases are the most affordable. Stainless steel and solid oak bases are higher priced. The style also plays a role: a minimalist U-frame is cheaper than a spider leg or cross leg.
In our 3D configurator you see the impact on the price with every choice. Full transparency, no hidden costs.
Delivery times
Because every table is custom-made, there is a production time:
- Ceramic table tops: 3 to 6 weeks. The top is cut to size at the manufacturer in Europe, the base is produced in parallel.
- Wooden table tops: 4 to 8 weeks. Solid wood requires extra time for drying and finishing.
We keep you informed throughout the entire process. After production, we arrange a delivery time that suits you.
Frequently asked questions
Can I have the table legs made shorter?
Yes. We adjust the height to your preference. Standard is 75 cm, but we make tables from 70 to 78 cm height — or a different measurement if you wish.
What if I want a matching coffee table in 5 years?
We keep your specifications on file. So if you want a matching coffee table, side table or garden table in a few years, we will make it in exactly the same colour and style.
Can I replace the table top later but keep the base?
With our modular tables, yes. The top can be detached from the base. Want to switch from oak to ceramic in a few years? Then you only need to order a new top.
Can I receive a sample?
Yes, for ceramic materials we can send samples so you can view the colour and texture at home. Get in touch and we will arrange it.
Can I collect my table myself?
Yes. You can collect your table from our showroom in Maasbree. Do bear in mind that a table can be large and heavy — bring a van or trailer.
Are there minimum or maximum dimensions?
Yes, depending on the material there are minimum and maximum sizes. In the configurator these limits are automatically applied so you always create a technically feasible configuration.
