Looking for a natural stone dining table? All natural stone dining tables in our range are granite: a stone type formed deep in the earth's crust under high pressure and temperature. The pattern of crystals and minerals differs per slab. No two tables are the same.

Natural stone = granite

All four available stone types are granite. Whether you search for "natural stone dining table" or "granite dining table", you will find the same collection. This page gives an overview; for detailed information per variety, view the granite dining tables page.

Four granite varieties as natural stone dining table

Steel Grey Leather: calm grey surface with leather texture. Matte finish, restrained appearance. Suits modern and industrial interiors.

Coffee Brown Leather: warm brown tones with leather texture. Combines well with wooden furniture and warm earth tones in the room.

Tan Brown Polished: deep, dark pattern with glossy surface. The polishing brings the crystal structure to the fore. The most pronounced variant.

Nero Assoluto Honed: virtually black with subtly matte finish. Shows fewer fingerprints than a polished surface. Suits sleek, dark interiors.

Properties of natural stone dining tables

Granite is one of the hardest natural stone types. Knives, cutlery and crockery do not leave scratches. Use trivets for hot pans (thermal shock risk).

Each slab is 30 mm thick. The maximum size is 2400x1000 mm. That is suitable for dining tables up to six people.

Need a larger table? Choose ceramic (up to 3200x1600 mm) or oak (up to 3000x1200 mm).

Choose natural stone if you want a table with its own pattern. Choose ceramic if maintenance-free is the priority. Choose oak if you seek warmth and colour choice.

Base for a natural stone dining table

Natural stone is heavier than ceramic or wood. The base is matched to the weight of the slab in the workshop.

Steel bases: 19 models in 10 RAL colours. Stainless steel bases: 9 models in brushed stainless steel. View all table bases.

Configuring in the 3D configurator

In the 3D configurator you design your natural stone dining table. Choose the granite variety, dimensions, shape and base. The price adjusts with every choice.

Available shapes: rectangle, oval, round, Danish oval, Racetrack and rectangle with radius. Choose the edge finish separately: straight or 60 degrees.

Maintenance: sealing

Granite needs periodic sealing to remain stain-resistant. The slab is delivered sealed as standard. With intensive use, annual sealing is recommended.

Daily cleaning with a damp cloth is sufficient. Avoid acidic cleaning products. See the care page for instructions per stone type.

Natural stone dining table for outdoor use

Granite is frost-proof and UV-resistant. The slab can stand outdoors. Both stainless steel and steel with outdoor primer are suitable for year-round outdoor use.

View the natural stone outdoor tables or granite outdoor tables page for outdoor configurations.

Why no marble or travertine?

Marble is considerably softer than granite and susceptible to stains from acids (wine, lemon, vinegar). For daily use as a dining table, granite is the more durable choice. Travertine has the same drawbacks plus a porous surface.

Looking for a marble-look without the drawbacks? Ceramic is available in marble decors (e.g. Travertino Romano, Calacatta Black) that offer the look of marble with the hardness and maintenance-free properties of ceramic.

Frequently asked questions

Which natural stone types are available as a dining table?
All the natural stone dining tables we offer are made from granite. There are four options: Steel Grey Leather, Coffee Brown Leather, Tan Brown Polished and Nero Assoluto Honed. We chose granite for its hardness and longevity.
What is the difference between natural stone and granite?
Granite is a type of natural stone. In our collection, every natural stone dining table is made from granite. Whether you search for a 'natural stone dining table' or a 'granite dining table', you will find the same four options.
Does a natural stone dining table need maintenance?
Yes. Granite needs periodic impregnation to stay stain-resistant. The top is supplied pre-impregnated as standard. Day-to-day cleaning with a damp cloth is all that is needed.
Can I place a hot pan on natural stone?
No. A hot pan can cause thermal shock which may crack the slab. Always use trivets or coasters for hot pans and dishes.
How large can a natural stone dining table be?
The maximum top size for granite is 2400 x 1000 mm, suitable for dining tables seating up to six. For larger tables, choose ceramic (up to 3200 x 1600 mm) or oak (up to 3000 x 1200 mm).
Is every natural stone top different?
Yes. The pattern of crystals and minerals in granite varies per slab, so no two granite tops are the same. This applies to all four available types.
Which frame suits a natural stone dining table?
Both steel (19 models, 10 RAL colours) and stainless steel (9 models, brushed) are suitable. In our workshop we match the frame to the weight of the granite top.
