Replacing a worn table top, finishing a self-built frame or adding a solid surface to a sideboard? A custom wood table top in solid oak or walnut brings warmth and character to any piece of furniture. All standalone table tops are produced to the centimetre in the workshop in Maasbree, Netherlands, from 40 mm thick solid wood.
European oak is the most versatile choice for a wood table top. The top is stained to colour in one of 19 stain colours, from light Natural to deep Black, and then protected with two coats of matte 2K lacquer. This allows you to match the colour to your interior: complementing the floor, kitchen or existing furniture.
An oak table top has a visible grain with subtle knots and natural characteristics. Each top is distinctive. The tops are assembled from oak lamellae, dried to 8-12% moisture content, sanded flat and finished. Optionally you can have the top brushed for extra texture.
That sandability is an advantage no other material offers. After intensive use, have the surface sanded and re-lacquered; the top looks as good as new. Looking for a complete table with base? View oak dining tables.
Looking for a dark, warm top without staining or colouring? American walnut (Juglans nigra) has a naturally rich chocolate-brown colour that requires no stain treatment. The top is finished with clear 2K lacquer, so the natural colour comes through fully.
A walnut table top is distinguished by its fine, closed grain. Unlike oak, which has coarse pores and a pronounced grain pattern, the surface of walnut is smooth and sleek. The heartwood varies from purple-brown to dark chocolate, while the sapwood is slightly lighter.
Walnut becomes slightly lighter in colour over the years. Where most wood species darken, walnut does the opposite: the deepest tones gradually become warmer and more honey-like. Looking for a complete table? View walnut dining tables.

Walnut does not need those colour options: the dark brown colour with subtle purple glow is a statement on its own. Unsure? Wood excels in warmth and atmosphere. It feels pleasant, dampens sound and fits virtually any interior. Ceramic is scratch-proof, heat-resistant and stain-repellent. Granite combines an exclusive appearance with a rock-hard surface. Looking for an outdoor table top? Then wood is not an option; view outdoor tables in ceramic or granite.
Dining table. The most common application. A wood top on an existing or new base forms the centrepiece of your dining room.
Sideboard or side table. A solid wood top gives a sideboard a robust, high-quality appearance.
Coffee table. Even on a smaller scale, solid wood comes into its own. The 2K lacquer finish protects against coffee cup and glass stains.
Window sill. A wide window sill of solid wood adds character to your window area. Note that wood is exclusively suited for indoor use.
Existing base. The top is worn but the base is still good? A new custom wood top gives your table a second life.
Do not have a base yet? Combine the wood top with a standalone base from the collection:
Steel in matte black is the most popular combination with wood: the contrast between warm wood and sleek metal gives a modern-industrial character. In the 3D configurator you combine top and base and see immediately how the whole looks.
