Which coffee table suits your living room? At Tulmans Furniture, custom coffee tables are made with the same materials as your dining table. The choice depends on the material of your dining table, the height of your sofa and the available space. Materials available: ceramic (12 mm), solid oak (40 mm), solid walnut (40 mm) or granite (30 mm). Bases come in steel (19 models, 10 RAL colours) or brushed stainless steel (9 models). Everything is made to measure in our workshop in Maasbree, Netherlands.
Quick material guide
Family with children: ceramic - scratch-resistant, stain-proof, no maintenance. A spilled cup or toy car leaves no marks.
Warm, natural interior: solid oak or walnut - living material with character, sandable after years.
Robust and one-of-a-kind: granite - natural stone with a distinctive crystal pattern per slab.
Matching your dining table: choose the same material and finish as your dining table for a cohesive look.
Ceramic coffee table: scratch-resistant and maintenance-free
A ceramic coffee table is the most practical choice for daily use. Keys, remotes, dinnerware and toys leave no marks. Coffee, wine or water stains wipe away with a damp cloth. The 12 mm thick top is heat-resistant: a hot cup can go directly on the surface. UV-resistant, so it will not discolour even by a window.
Oak coffee table: warmth and character
Solid European oak brings a warm, natural feel to the living room. Each top has a distinctive grain. Stained to your chosen colour and finished with two coats of matt 2K lacquer. At 40 mm thick, the top has a substantial, solid character. After years of use, you can have it sanded and re-lacquered.

Choosing the right size
Length: a coffee table should be no longer than two-thirds of the sofa. For a 240 cm sofa, a coffee table of about 140-160 cm works well. For a corner sofa, a square or round table is often better than rectangular.
Height: standard coffee table height is around 45 cm, level with or slightly below the seat of most sofas. In the configurator you can adjust the height if your sofa has a different seat height.
Clearance: allow at least 35-40 cm between the sofa and the coffee table.
Coffee table as an extension of your dining table
Many customers choose the same materials for coffee and dining table. At Tulmans, both are made with exactly the same materials: the same ceramic slab, the same wood from the same batch, the same stain colour. You can also order the base in the same colour and model.
Configure in the 3D configurator
In the 3D configurator you assemble your coffee table step by step. Choose the top material, decor or wood colour, exact dimensions and base with colour. See the result in 3D from any angle. The price adjusts with every choice.
