Looking for a ceramic table top with Italian design? Marazzi table tops combine Italian craftsmanship with the technical properties of ceramic. Marazzi is an Italian brand specialising in large-format ceramic. The slabs are cut to the centimetre in our workshop in Maasbree, Netherlands, to create your custom Marazzi table top. The result is a thin, sleek top with the hardness of ceramic and the appearance of Italian design.
A Marazzi table top starts as a large-format ceramic slab. In our workshop in Maasbree, this slab is cut to the centimetre to the size you need. You are not bound to standard sizes and can have the top precisely fit your base, frame or furniture.
The top is 12 mm thick. That is considerably thinner than granite (typically 30 mm or more), resulting in a slim, modern appearance. Despite the low thickness, ceramic is one of the hardest materials used for table tops. In the 3D configurator you enter the exact dimensions and see the result immediately.
The choice for ceramic is first and foremost a choice for convenience. You do not need to oil, lacquer or seal the top. A damp cloth is sufficient for daily maintenance.
Additionally, Marazzi ceramic is heat-resistant. A hot pan straight from the oven can go directly on the top, without a trivet and without marks. For families with children, this is a significant advantage.
| Property | Value | What does this mean? |
|---|---|---|
| Scratch resistance | 7-8 | Resistant to scratches from knives, keys and crockery |
| Heat-resistant | Yes | Hot pan directly on table, no trivet needed |
| Water absorption | <0.1% | Wine, coffee and olive oil leave no stains |
| UV-resistant | Yes | Does not discolour from sunlight, also for outdoor use |
| Frost-proof | EN ISO 10545-12 | Suitable for outdoor use, even in severe frost |
| Thickness | 12 mm | Slim profile, modern appearance |
| Max size | 3200 x 1600 mm | Suitable for large dining tables and sideboards |
Marazzi offers ceramic slabs in various decors. The main categories are marble-look, concrete-look, natural stone-look and solid colours.
Marble-look. Ceramic with the appearance of marble, but without the drawbacks. Where real marble is porous and absorbs stains, ceramic with marble-look is fully stain-resistant.
Concrete-look. Sleek, industrial and timeless. Concrete-look ceramic suits a modern interior with steel, glass and clean lines.
Natural stone-look. The warmth of natural stone without the maintenance. Think travertine-like tints and textures for an organic, rustic atmosphere.
Solid colours. For a minimalist setting, solid-colour ceramic tops in neutral tones let the base and the room do the talking.
| Property | Marazzi ceramic | Wood | Granite |
|---|---|---|---|
| Scratch resistance | Very high | Low | Moderate |
| Heat-resistant | Yes | No | No (risk of cracking) |
| Stain resistance | Very high (<0.1%) | Low without lacquer | Moderate, sealing needed |
| Maintenance | Damp cloth | Periodic oiling or lacquering | Periodic sealing |

Dining table. The most chosen application. The slim 12 mm profile gives a modern appearance while the hardness effortlessly withstands daily use.
Outdoor table. Marazzi ceramic is frost-proof (EN ISO 10545-12) and UV-resistant. Rain, frost and sun have no effect on the top. A durable choice for a ceramic outdoor table.
Sideboard or side table. A ceramic top on a sideboard is fully maintenance-free. No coasters needed, no worry about water rings from a vase.
A standalone Marazzi table top can be combined with a base from our collection. Our steel bases give an industrial appearance that pairs well with the clean lines of ceramic. For a modern, maintenance-free whole, stainless steel bases are a good choice.
In the 3D configurator you combine top and base and adjust colours and dimensions until the result is right.
Every Marazzi table top is cut to order in our workshop. Lead time is 1 to 4 weeks. Delivery is available throughout the Netherlands, Belgium and North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany).
